Events & Workshops: Fostering Community & Professional Growth

Strategic Programming & Professional Development

I specialize in creating recurring learning opportunities that keep organizational talent at the cutting edge of industry trends.

  • LinkedIn Learning Quarterly Workshops: I partner directly with LinkedIn Learning CSMs to design and deliver quarterly sessions, ensuring employees are maximized on professional development pathways and platform updates.

  • Thematic Leadership Circles: I support specialized sessions for Leadership Circle, providing supervisors with thematic professional development geared toward high-level management competencies.

  • Inclusive Pedagogy: I have led and assisted in high-impact workshops such as Inclusive Teaching Practices in STEM and AI & Accessibility, bridging the gap between technical tools and classroom equity.

Institutional Advocacy: Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)

As a long-standing committee member, I play a pivotal role in the creation, development, and annual implementation of Global Accessibility Awareness Day at the University of Denver.

  • Awareness to Action: I lead the programming and project management for GAAD, turning a global initiative into a localized, actionable day of learning for faculty and staff.

  • Event Management: My role involves coordinating marketing, managing digital and physical assets, and ensuring the entire event is a model of the accessibility standards we advocate for.

High-Stakes Event Operations & Moderation

  • Town Hall Moderation: I regularly assist with University Town Halls, serving as a live moderator to facilitate dialogue between leadership and the community.

  • Organizational Celebrations: I provide logistical and creative support for Employee Appreciation events and various staff/faculty gatherings, ensuring a consistent and polished institutional “voice”.

The Interdisciplinary Bridge

My work in events is defined by my ability to work with interdisciplinary teams to solve complex logistical challenges. Whether I am assisting a dean with a sensitive faculty session or troubleshooting a microphone for a live broadcast, I maintain a focus on the human experience of the event. I believe that a well-run event is the ultimate “window” into an organization’s culture and values.

Another annual event I assist in managing is the Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) event. This is something I hold dear in my heart and have been a planning committee member for a few years. This event is open to all staff, faculty, students and community members – we generally receive a few hundred attendees. I am on the right of the GAAD sign.

I am also not a stranger to professional development, in or out of the state! Generally consider myself to be a fun, collaborative person to work with, whether it is at events, conferences, or organizing workshops in-person or remotely. I’m the one in the middle, this was at CUPA HR in New Orleans.
