Paula von Kretschmann, MS
I am a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) dedicated to transforming complex information into impactful, accessible learning solutions. My work is consistently centered on User Experience (UX), Human-Centered Design (HCD), and leveraging cutting-edge technology, including Generative Artificial Intelligence.
My educational background forms the cornerstone of my approach. I hold a Master of Science in Information & Communications Technologies (ICT) from the University of Denver, complemented by a BA in Psychology and Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience. This unique foundation provides me with a deep understanding of human cognition, which I apply to amplify every design and learning experience.
I thrive at the intersection of UX and data analytics. I collaborate with cross-functional teams, employing a user-first approach and data-driven methodologies to optimize product and learning performance. My work involves extracting meaningful insights, and transforming raw information into actionable strategies and compelling visualizations for all stakeholders, consistently driving organizational success.
I am a strong advocate for educational technologies and inclusive learning methods, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and equal access. Born in Cali, Colombia, and raised in Queens, New York, I now call Colorado home. When I’m not engaged with projects, I spend time with my husband, two year old daughter, two cats and a few backyard chickens. Please feel free to contact me or connect on LinkedIn.
Analyze
I use Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Project Management to define scope, develop user-centric wireframes, and establish product roadmaps. I conduct detailed needs assessments and collaborate closely with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand core training needs. This foundational work ensures every learning solution is strategically aligned with organizational and user needs from day one.
Measure
I apply iterative instructional design theories to design, develop, and manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables. This stage is crucial for continuous quality assurance, where I focus on ongoing testing and validation. I measure success by evaluating learning effectiveness using LMS data, user feedback, and key engagement metrics.
Optimize
I leverage data-driven analysis to inform all my decisions, which allows me to implement continuous developmental iterations that improve Learner engagement and learning impact. I transform complex data into actionable strategies, guaranteeing both user satisfaction and organizational success. Crucially, I ensure all final content meets inclusive Universal Design (UDL) and federal ADA/WCAG compliance standards.
